It is a grade II listed building of special architectural and historical interest, the oldest part having been built in the second half of the sixteen century. There are many interesting features, the first floor was originally jetted but is now under built. There is also a fine example of octagonal Tudor chimneys. A previous owner of the house was the famous Dr. Samuel Dale, friend and biographer of the naturalist John Ray. Open all year round, all bedrooms with en-suite facilities / private bathroom, Freeview television, beverage tray and hair dryer available. Full central heating. Singles, double, twin, family and ground floor rooms available. Special four-poster room. Single occupancy is £38-43 per room per night. Rooms available from midday. If arrival expected after 6pm we must be advised.
