Situated within the charming hamlet of Chatham Green in the very heart of rural Essex yet only 10 minutes from Braintree & Chelmsford, 15 to Stansted & Leez Priory and 5 minutes from Channels & Regiment Way Golf Club. The Windmill Inn offers our visitors a unique opportunity for a relaxing stay whether it be on business or pleasure. We have 5 double & 2 twin rooms each comfortably furnished and decorated in a farmhouse style. PLEASE NOTE Although accommodation price does not include breakfast, complimentary cereals and fruit juices, bottled water, tea & coffee making facilities & biscuits are provided in your room. Full English breakfast is available on request - please let us know if you do require this option when you check in. All rooms have en-suite shower & toilet, coloured television & also free WI-FI. Four of the rooms are built within the original 'roundhouse' base of the windmill. The remaining rooms are located in the stable block and have been constructed using the existing 19th century handmade bricks. Visitors with wheelchairs are welcomed with 2 of our rooms offering ground floor access and facilities. A stones' throw from the Inn lies The Essex Way, a footpath that runs from Epping to Harwich and is a popular route with walkers & ramblers. You can also relax in the secluded guest's garden or explore the many surrounding villages & hamlets. Our bar has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and in our restaurant you can enjoy a large selection of home cooked meals, light lunches & chef's specials.
