Lee Valley White Water Centre

The brand new Lee Valley White Water Centre is one of the best artificial venues for white water activities anywhere in the world. The Centre is one of four London 2012 venues Lee Valley Regional Park Authority will run after the Games, together with Lee Valley VeloPark and Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centres. Lee Valley White Water Centre will join the other regional sports venues the Authority owns to create a chain of sporting excellence along the 26 mile long, 10,000 acre Lee Valley Regional Park.

The Lee Valley White Water Centre is the perfect place to host the Olympic canoe slalom events with a course that will test the determination and technical ability of all the competitors. Specially built grandstands and facilities ensure that spectators will be able to enjoy all of the action in comfort.

The Centre becomes the first London 2012 venue to open to the public just four weeks after the end of the London 2012 Olympic Games, during which the centre is hosting the five day Canoe Slalom competition, and two days before the end of the London 2012 Paralympic Games. After a successful first year of white water rafting and paddling, the centre is temporarily closed for the London 2012 Games where Lee Valley White Water Centre will be hosting the five gruesome days of Canoe Slalom events.

The summer and winter packages have been released, so if you didn't get the chance to ride the rapids before the Games, don't miss out on being one of the first to experience the thrills just days after the worlds best athletes battle it out for Gold.

The London 2012 Canoe Slalom events will take place from Sunday 29 July to Wednesday 1 August at the brand new Lee Valley White Water Centre, one of four London 2012 venues owned and managed by Lee Valley Regional Park Authority.
60,000 spectators will watch with amazement as the 82 athletes from around the globe battle for gold during four gruelling days of completion with just four gold medals up for grabs!
