The St Peter's Singers (now re-named Chorus Anglicanum) sang Rachmaninov's Vespers in the first season and will be returning this year to open the festival.
Other highlights include a return visit by the Stanford Quartet, playing Borodin's stunning second string quartet; Christopher Weston playing Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, a showing of Battleship Potemkin with live organ accompaniment, Rachmaninov's 'cello sonata, Carl Orff's Carmina Burana in Chelmsford Cathedral and a visit by Joe Stilgoe and his band.
