Gunpowder Park

Lee Valley Regional Park

Sewardstone Road,
Waltham Abbey,

Meadows come alive in summer, the air buzzes with the calls of grasshoppers and crickets while colourful butterflies and moths flit between wildflowers and birds of prey can often be seen hovering above hunting for the small mammals hidden beneath the grass.

Join Lee Valley Regional Park staff for a walk around the grasslands of Gunpowder Park to take a closer look at some of the plants and animals that live there and find out what the Park is doing to help manage and protect these important habitats.
