Details

The Essex Craft & Design Show will be holding two shows at two stunning Essex venues in 2017.

September will see the show returning for the tenth year to the unique 13th century setting of Cressing Temple Barns, Braintree Essex but before then for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend the show will be at the beautiful RHS Garden Hyde Hall, Essex.

These superb venues provide a unique backdrop for this contemporary art and craft show. The wide range of exhibitors will include fine art, photography, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, many other contemporary crafts and a handful of stands selling locally produced food. First established in 2008 by two artists from the Leigh Art Trail, the events aim to provide a unique and valuable showcase for established Essex artisans, new emerging talent and ‘non-commercial’ installation artists who can bring a different dimension and perspective to the historic settings; helping to bring them to life in a 21st Century way.

For the public it is the ideal opportunity to buy a piece of original art or craft and meet the artist who created the work. With artisan demonstrations during each of the weekends, and the venues to explore, this is very much a day out and more than just a craft show.

Each of the venues used by the Essex Craft & Design Show is of interest in its own right. For more information and to find out what other events they are hosting please visit their websites:
