Details

The museum is housed in a former steam pumping station and features one of the original pumping engines. The displays are power related, including steam, water, nuclear and muscle power. There are normally working engines to be seen. Child friendly exhibits and activities are available, and there is a small tea room. The museum is set in attractive riverside grounds with a picnic area. A miniature railway gives rides on one Sunday a month, and a model village is open on Sundays.
