Get spooky this Halloween at the Royal Gunpowder Mills as Dr Gore’s moves in for Half Term Horrors! In need of brave volunteers daily, Dr Gore stirs up gruesome experiments with his Lab Rats, hoping to create and expand an evil empire! Science or Wizardry? You decide. A fun way to get children learning about science. Join us for Family Fun activities, gruesomely slimey goings-on and helping create colourful potions for secret purpose. With new skills under you belt join us in our Spooky Spinks and make hats and broomsticks! Other nightmarish activities include Spooky Night Vision tricks and treats and surprises in the Darkened Museum. Where better to get the shivers then in a place that has 300 years of secret stories?
An all-weather venue, children of all ages can enjoy a full day at the Royal Gunpowder Mills. On top of Spooky Secret Island, there are exhibitions and tours, ample play space and free parking, and we have been awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and consistently receives high-rated feedback from visitors.
The event commences on Saturday 22 October and runs each day through Sunday 30 October from 10am – 5pm (last ticket 3pm). Children should be accompanied by a paying adult and there is a range of great value family ticket deals. Children under 3 are free and there is a child-friendly play park and ample Indoor as well as outdoor activity space, indoor picnic space and a lovely indoor café.
