Professor Nitrate has all types of bangs , crashes and fizzes lined up in the Mad Lab , with his assistants on hand showing you there favourite experiments.
There are also opportunities to have a go on our crazy carts plus make and launch your very own rocket then take it home with you.

The Royal Gunpowder Mills is internationally important for its 300 + years of production of gunpowder and other explosives, propellants and rocketry. For a nominal fee you can experience the Land Train tour, taking you to hidden parts of the site. Watch out for deer and other wildlife! There’s the armoury and theatre where you can delve into the history behind this historic site. On top there is our acclaimed Armoury, where the technological history of arms, and craftsmanship is brought to life by knowledgeable volunteers.
