A private collection of wartime memorabilia from Essex's only long-term heavy bomber base. Sample the atmosphere in one of RAF Ridgewell's only-remaining Nissen huts. Learn the remarkable story of a heavy bomber airfield, which launched 348 bombing missions for the loss of 187 Allied aircraft. Follow in the footsteps of Bing Crosby, Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, who all visited the airfield in 1944. Above all, come and remember those who served in the cause of freedom.
