Details

The workshop and beach clean will include a short presentation about how discarded mass-produced plastic (much of it single-use) harms wildlife, the environment, and ultimately humans. Finishing with the creation of artwork with a message for the community. Inspiration for the artwork might include text as well as by creating something from the litter (of course after it has been cleaned).
Taking part in the beach clean (and the litter clean) is voluntary, but most welcome and will add to the community spirit of the session.

Timings (approximate):
10:30 - Meet on the beach opposite Badminton Road for beach clean linked to the Marine Conservation Society (optional)
11:15 - light refreshments at the meeting place on the prom
11:30 to 12:00 - optional walk along the beach to the Martello Tower to collect more plastic litter
12 noon - Refreshments at the Tower
12:15 - Presentation with slides
