About

Hanningfield Waterside Park is regarded by many as one of the best any method premier still water trout fisheries in the UK. Set within a picturesque part of Essex, this is one fishery you do not want to miss.

With a stocking over the season of a minimum of 50,000 high-quality rainbow trout, along with 1,000 homegrown specimens, you have the opportunity of catching fish weighing up to 10lbs and over.

You can fish from the top of the dam, from the natural bank or from one of our 36 Coulam motorboats, so every time you visit you can enjoy a different experience.

On-site we have an excellent shop stocked with everything you need for a day’s fishing including rods, reels, tackle, accessories, clothing, worms and baits. You can also visit our Cafe on the Water after a full day out for some quality tea and coffee, sandwiches, pastries, cakes or a delicious hot meal.

Day permits and Boats are available to buy from our new booking system www.bookwhen.com/hanningfield. Boats must be booked in advance.

Please note your EA rod licence must be purchased online at https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences/buy-a-fishing-licence  before fishing at one of our sites. Due to government changes, we are no longer able to sell a rod licence at our Waterside Parks.
