Mahan Esfahani directs Britten Sinfonia at Saffron Hall

No one has done more to enhance the image of the harpsichord in recent years than the Iranian-American virtuoso Mahan Esfahani who has captivated audiences with his fiery and engaging performances. In this concert he performs, and directs Britten Sinfonia, in a programme peppered with Mediterranean flavour including one of De Falla's most popular ballet scores featuring the stunning Ritual Fire Dance.

Saffron Hall is minutes from the centre of Saffron Walden and close to the M11.
If travelling northbound along the M11, exit at junction 8 and follow the signs to Hertford (A120) and then Saffron Walden (B1383). Soon after the turning to Audley End station on the left, turn right along Walden road/Wenden road. Once you reach the top of the hill, turn right at the t-junction and Saffron Hall is almost immediately on your right, on the site of Saffron Walden County High School.
If travelling southbound along the M11, exit at junction 10 and follow the signs to Saffron Walden via the A505, A1301, then B1383. Once you have driven past Audley end house and the Audley End estate turn left along Walden road/Wenden road. Once you reach the top of the hill turn right at the t-junction and Saffron Hall is almost immediately on your right, on the site of Saffron Walden County High School. Note that junction 9 of the M11 has restricted access.
Saffron Hall has ample free on-site parking, including parking for blue badge holders.
