Earth Day | Screen Print a Tote Bag at Slamseys Art
Workshop/Course, Sat 22 Apr 2017
Support the Earth by screen-printing your own resuable tote bag.
We begin with a quick introduction to screen printing and chat about what makes a good design before creating our images.
You will leave with … two tote bags printed with your unique one colour design. Additional bags will be available to purchase on the day (cash only). You will be supplied with two cotton tote bags, but please feel free to bring along additional bags or fabrics for further prints.
Who is this workshop for?
Beginners and those with printmaking experience. No experience is necessary to take part in this workshop as we will cover all the techniques required.
All equipment and materials will be provided so you don’t need to bring anything with you. However, you might like to bring along your sketchbook or any special reference material that you would like to work from. We will have plenty to inspire you here though, so don’t worry if you don’t have anything particular in mind. For inspiration, have a look at our printmaking boards on Pinterest.
Group size is limited to 4 people to give you plenty of space to work in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The workshop will begin at 10:00 so please arrive five minutes beforehand for a cup of tea or coffee. The workshop will finish at approximately 11:30, but note that times may vary depending on the speed at which you work.
