Ground breaking endeavour to build the famous Mayflower Ship and set sail in a thrilling voyage across the Atlantic Ocean to America in 2020. Here us a once in a lifetime chance to see the build in action. Tours are available of the traditional wooden boat yard together with a photo opportunity next to the build itself. The tours include a short history about the iconic vessel including its intrepid captain, Christopher Jones of Harwich and the story of the Founding Fathers of America who risked their lives to settle a new vastly unknown continent. The Mayflower Compact was signed on this Harwich vessel, the document of agreement which is considered to be basis for modern democracy in the USA.
