SURFQUAKE are a fun & upbeat 4-piece Surf Rock Band, that'll get you shakin’ around to the infectious surf beat before you can say WIPE OUT!

Together now for over 9 years SURFQUAKE perform familiar hit tunes and songs from the halcyon days of surf-guitar and well known Classic TV & Film Themes, plus some original Retro style numbers.

In 2012 Surfquake released their debut album 'Surf and Destroy', followed this year by their 2nd ‘Quake Up!’. Both available as CDs or you can check ‘em out on Spotify or iTunes etc. Tracks from both albums have been broadcast by DJ Steve Lamacq on the UK's famous BBC Radio 2 + BBC 6 Radio & BBC Radio Essex as well as lots of other popular Stations.

NELSON - Go-Go Guitar/Vocals,
NOSERIDER - Hot Rod Bass/BVs,
CARABUNGA – Quayboards/Theremin
and THE DUNE - Surf Drums.

Colchester based Ed Sykes is a Rock and Roll Shaman. His music is about where pop meets the avant-garde. Ed’s debut 7’’ single ‘Whiplashed’ released last year on Maniac Squat Records boasts contributions from musical luminaries Jon Povey of The Pretty Things and David Bowie’s pianist Mike Garson.

Ed Sykes recently produced and features on the ‘Think Pink 3’ album by 60’s Pysch Icon and founder of the Pink Fairies, Twink.

He is currently recording his debut album to tape with his backing group The Sonic Oscillators and applying old school recording techniques. Various special guests are set to appear on the album and Ed himself is also set for some interesting, currently secret, collaborations in the coming months. You can expect to hear a lot more from this innovative artist throughout 2020. With the release of his highly anticipated debut album he’ll be performing throughout the UK with his live band.
