We’ll be celebrating all small trains at this exciting event on Sunday 1st October.

On this special day, our museum plays host to an impressive selection of model railway layouts including a large gauge 1 live steam layout which fills most of our enormous Goods Shed. Great fun for kids, big or small!

Our very own miniature pub (probably the smallest pub in Essex!) will be serving real ale from the Colchester Brewery.

Although the museum is virtually fully accessible, due to us being at a functioning railway station, visitors using wheel chairs will need the assistance of a carer to navigate the separate accessible entrance and security gate on the opposite side of the rail track.
