The Galaxy Big Band will also be playing and you can have a go at one of the swing-jive or Lindy-hop workshops. We’ll have loads of vintage stalls at this great family day out – you can meet the scary teacher in our evacuee drama ‘lessons’… don’t be late… or just soak up the atmosphere with the magician and bubble artist, classic cars, traditional rides and vintage hair styling and make-overs.Roll up your sleeves and have a go on the Pump Trolley or sign up for ‘Taster for a Tenner’ where you can actually drive one of our diesel locomotives for just £10!

Our dinky on-site pub, the Viaduct Tavern (probably the smallest pub in Essex) will be open serving a range of bottled beers as well as wine, cider and soft drinks or alternatively, you can relax in our beautiful railway dining car with a full-blown, vintage afternoon tea.
