Details

Jo Hammond is a highly experienced tutor specialising in Willow Weaving. Jo’s guidance will enable you to learn a small variety of weaves, handling & selecting material and an idea of how to progress with the craft.
Using simple freeweave techniques and natural brown willow on a classic cone shape, you will create a quirky and long lasting festive tree with contrasting white willow star. Lit from the inside, it can cast beautiful shapes and shadows. This project is ideal for beginners, with all stages clearly demonstrated and plenty of individual help. Please be aware that willow weaving is moderately hard work and requires a firm grip. All the materials you need are provided, although attendees are asked to bring their own secateurs.
