Colchester Garrison Show at Abbey Field

The soldiers of the British Army’s rapid reaction force will be the stars of a free military show in Colchester this summer.
The 16 Air Assault Brigade and Colchester Garrison Show will take place on Abbey Field on Saturday 15 July. Building up to the dramatic finale of a combat demonstration, the event will showcase the equipment and skills of the town’s 16 Air Assault Brigade.
Highlights across the day include displays by The Parachute Regiment’s Red Devils freefall team and the White Helmets, the Royal Corps of Signals’ motorcycle team, and music from The Band of The Parachute Regiment. Key pieces of equipment on display will include the Apache attack helicopter, bridging equipment and a field hospital able to be deployed by parachute.

Road: A134 (Southway) running through the centre of the town. At St Botolph's Circus roundabout, take the fourth exit up to the B1025 Mersea Rd. At the first set of traffic lights turn right at the Colchester Garrison Sign into Napier Road, which becomes Circular Road North.
Foot: The venue is about 15 min walk form the High Street Colchester, use the underpass to cross under the St Botolph's roundabout.
Rail: The venue is about 10 min walk from the Colchester Town Railway Station.
