12-13 High Street,

James Henry's first novel set around Colchester called Blackwater was hugely popular so we are very pleased that he will be at the store to talk about the second installment of the DI Lowry series, Yellowhammer. The new novel is set in July 1983. The rural peace of Fox Farm is shattered by the discovery of two bodies. One is eminent historian Christopher Cliff who seems to have killed himself with an antique shotgun, the other is unidentified. DI Lowry & his team face heat from all angles & a tangled web of rural rituals, dodgy dealings & fragmented families in the race to solve one or is it two murders? James Henry has been commended for his terrific sense of place, it's great to have such a good crime series set in this area. If you like a traditional police procedural before computers & DNA then these are the books for you.
Please purchase your ticket from the store in advance. The doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start & we will have wine & nibbles.
