12-13 High Street,

Rosheen Finnigan has discovered a collection of vivid, poignant & very detailed letters written by her parents in the period 1938-43 before her Father's untimely death in India. Thankfully for us, she & her husband Cal who live locally, have managed to get them published & we are delighted that they have agreed to give a talk about them at the store. The letters reveal not only a powerful love story but give a fascinating account of everyday life in wartime & show their strong reactions to the politics of the time. If you are interested in social history or have read & enjoyed Roald Dahl collection of letters, Love From Boy, this could be the event for you.
Please purchase your ticket in advance or reserve one on 01206 561307. They will be £2 each including complementary wine & nibbles.

Credit cards accepted (no fee)
