Details

We are very pleased to welcome Isabelle Grey to talk about the third book in her DI Grace Fisher mysteries which is set in this part of Essex & debut crime author Mark Hill. They will be talking about their latest novels & writing crime fiction. In Isabelle's new book a young doctor is found murdered near a camp for the treatment of anorexic girls & the investigation throws up links to cases of historic sex abuse. The story has been described as brave & harrowing in tackling such a difficult subject. Isabelle has had a long career in TV script writing before turning to novels & this one has been favourably compared to series like Broadchurch.
Mark Hill's debut, The Two O'Clock Boy, is winning lots of praise, it's been called "dark, addictive & original". It's mood & setting have been compared to Luther, it's the first in a series of London-set mysteries. The grim past of a children's home comes to haunt the present as former residents are being eliminated by a mysterious figure nick-named the two o'clock boy.
Once the authors have talked about their books, there will be a chance to ask questions & get copies signed. Please purchase a ticket in advance from the store at £2 or reserve one on 01206 561307. Doors open at 6.30pm & complementary wine & nibbles will be available.

Credit cards accepted (no fee)
