Discover new ways to bring your research to life, create a believable sense of time and place, and give yourself the freedom to imagine with this day workshop for aspiring or emerging fiction writers. Award-winning writer and former journalist Kate Worsley will guide you through the process of getting the most out of different historical sources and using these to animate the world of your writing.Individual and group exercises may include research using the magnificent surroundings of the Nottage Institute, drawing inspiration from historic images, and a game of ‘historical bingo’ to break the ice!

Starting at ten am and finishing at four pm, this day long course includes a tasty vegetarian lunch, as well as coffee and biscuits in the break. As all our classes and events are interactive, places are limited to twelve.
