Located close to the towns of Halstead in Essex and Sudbury in Suffolk, Little Maplestead is a village in the Braintree district. The village features the Grade two listed round parish church, The Church of St. Jogn the Baptist, which dates from around 1335. 

The village features the church, a doctors surgery, an Indian resturant as well as a number of community groups.
