235 Lexden Road,

The Lexden Crown has a long and colourful history having been a beerhouse since 1851 with the original building dating back to the 1600's. An unexploded artillery shell sat unnoticed in the bar for six years and even that failed to deter the shy but persistent, ghost said to walk the bar on Saturday eveningsā€¦

At The Lexden Crown you will find the perfect blend of traditional English pub atmosphere & contemporary bistro dining. Enjoy the sunny walled garden, or drink & dine in the relaxed surroundings of our beautifully refurbished 17th century building. We are open for lunch & dinner seven days a week.

At The Lexden Crown you are welcome to simply pop in and dine when you wish. We find that with the extended opening hours from 5.30pm - 9.30pm in the evening, the mix of early diners make way for mid-evening diners in a very relaxed way. Alternatively, if you would like to ensure a table at a time that suits you, a booking facility operates on our website.
