Go past Cricketers Pub, L on to Bicknacre Rd park in NT carpark immed on L Garden 50m further on R. Extra parking 200 metres past on L. Wed 25 Apr (2-5); Sun 29 Apr, Sun 3 June, Sun 9 Sept (11-5); Wed 12 Sept (2-5). Adm £4, chd free. Home-made teas. Visits also by arrangement Apr to Sept groups 15+ mid April to Sept (not Aug) refreshments available.
A Victorian house surrounded by a garden designed, created and maintained by the owners to provide all year round interest. The colour coordinated borders and beds are enhanced with topiary, grasses,and climbers. April starts with thousands of tulips followed by Alliums. By June the roses are blooming with many perennials, July is hemerocallis show time, Sept includes Dahlias Asters, late exotics. The garden has many unusual plants and shrubs. Opp Danbury Common (NT), short walk to Danbury Country Park and Lakes and short drive to RHS Hyde Hall. Featured in Womans Weekly Garden supplement, English Garden, Garden News and numerous magazines and newspapers. Very limited wheelchair access, with some steps and gravel paths and drive.
