About

This wonderful 1,000 acre Country Park stretches on either side of the River Lee between Waltham Abbey (Essex) and Broxbourne (Hertfordshire) and has been transformed from old gravel pits. There are four main access points to the Country Park at:

1. Old Mill and Meadows, Broxbourne (Herts)
2. Lee Valley Park Farms/Fishers Green (Essex)
3. Windmill Lane, Cheshunt (Herts)
4. Waltham Abbey Gardens, Waltham Abbey (Essex)

It's a great open space for all the family to enjoy whether it's for an hour or a day.

The area teems with wildlife. Cornmill Meadows Dragonfly Sanctuary is a SSSI site and is one of the best places in Greater London, Essex and Hertfordshire for seeing dragonflies. Between May and September you'll be able to see half of Britain's native species of dragonfly in this one location.

Car parking charges apply.
