'Unique' is a description that applies to the opportunities enjoyed by members of the Club to win trophies that carry over 100 years of golfing heritage. Few clubs can match the vast range of silverware that dates back to when the club was founded in 1895; indeed the members still play for the Club Challenge Bowl, a magnificent silver bowl that was first won in 1896 in an age when the winner's name was not engraved onto the trophy but was instead engraved onto a silver cartouche that was affixed to the bowl. Alongside its heritage and tradition, Frinton Golf Club is also progressive in its outlook and attitude towards offering beginners and proven golfers alike a variety of membership options that take account of the different times we now live in.
For the golfer wanting to challenge his own ability against a course that is protected by the elements as much as other courses rely upon trees and terrain there is little that can match Frinton. There is an immense satisfaction that comes from playing several or even just one hole well enough to record a par or even a birdie; for many of us that have a love of the links of Frinton Golf Club that surpasses our ability, this is all too often a unique golfing experience.
As well as the 18 hole Havers Course, there is the 9 hole Kirby Course which is ideal for those not always prepared to play a longer round of golf; it is also an excellent academy course where juniors and novices can benefit from instruction before progressing on to the Havers Course.
