16th C. manor house built by Sir William Petre, Secretary of State to four Tudor monarchs. School visits normally commerce at 1000. The morning is taken up with an introduction and guided tour of the house and grounds. The afternoon is for project work set by the group's teachers. Maximum of 60 pupils per day. Most suitable
for pupils at Key Stage 2.

It is a Tudor House with the limitations that that imposes. The House is some 200m from the main entrance and car park. By arrangement cars can come up the drive to drop off passengers.
Within the house there are many changes in level and ill lit and poor contrasting areas.
