Combined Military Services Museum

The museum has collections of British military artefacts and a number of items on display are of national importance for example: the only surviving MK2 'Cockle' canoe as used in the 'Cockleshell Heroes' raid. There are excellent displays of civil war armour, as well as fully equipped models of paratroopers from Arnhem, Suez and the Falklands. A Significant feature of the collection is a TSR2 jet engine, the only remaining example on public display. The Museum also houses probably its best spy collection for public viewing; its collection belonged to two real British agents, Captain Peter Mason and his wife Prue Mason. Amongst the items is a Bulgarian umbrella that was used to assassinate Georgi Markovt. Smoking pipe pistol, Kiss of death - Lipstick gun, concealed cameras, collecting weapons etc.
