This beautiful country pub with rooms is on the doorstep of the rolling Essex countryside but just a short hop from the airport. Set in a wonderful warm red brick building overlooking the expanse of the green and the historic cricket ground, the pub's the perfect place for a stop-off en route to or from the airport, a short break in the countryside or if you're in the area visiting friends or attending a wedding.
Inside you'll find a cosy low-ceilinged oak beamed bar with a roaring log fire and lots of comfy spots to enjoy a beer or glass of wine, a stylish restaurant serving great quality freshly cooked food, and pretty views out over the green.
Hot food is served all day and on the menu is a wide choice of freshly cooked seasonal food, much of it sourced locally, and a particularly good English breakfast to set you up for the day. There are real ales and a thoughtfully-chosen wine list with plenty of wines and champagnes to enjoy by the bottle or glass. The service is warm and friendly.
