About
Discover North Essex's best kept secret. Markshall Estate is a beautiful heritage landscape that extends to over 2,350 acres of Essex countryside. The estate includes broadleaved woodlands, a world-class Arboretum showcasing a collection of rare trees from across the globe, The Wild Wood family play area, relaxing lakes, a Walled Garden featuring the longest herbaceous border in the county and much more.
When open you'll also find seasonal produce served in the Orchard Kitchen cafe, including meals, light refreshments and cream teas throughout the day. Looking for something special? Ask about our afternoon teas, and look out for our special events. Green fingered? Then stop by our Plant Centre for inspiration direct from the Arboretum.
Join in the fun with our year-round events programme, including talks and tours, family friendly activities, live music and theatre performances.
Markshall Estate also offers venue hire and is the perfect setting for weddings, family gatherings, parties and corporate events.
