A steam train

About

A firm favourite with families, they're a great opportunity to visit the Museum and have a ride in vintage wagons or carriages pulled by one of our restored Steam Engines. Our miniature railway will also be in operation.

We operate unlimited rides between 10.30 – 15.30, the Museum opens at 10am right through until 5pm.

Check out our working Restoration Shed, the magnificent Victorian Goods Shed, period Waiting Rooms & Signal Box as well as the Heritage Centre & Train themed Childrens Playground, our site of over 10 acres is ideal if you would like to bring your own picnic.

EVENT TIMETABLE
Our trains run all day long with no fixed timetable from 10.30 to 15.30, and you can have as many rides as you like, whenever you like.

ON SITE CATERING
Feeling Hungry? You can visit our award winning Platform Two Cafe – they're open from 10am – 5pm and serve tasty breakfast, lunch & snack options, as well as coffee, tea & a range of cold beverages.
