We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
• change colours, contrast levels and fonts
• zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
• navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
• navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
• listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability:
• make your mouse easier to use
• use your keyboard instead of a mouse
• talk to your device
• make your device talk to you
• make text larger
• change your colours
• magnify the screen
We know some parts of this website aren’t fully accessible:
• All functionality is not operable with a keyboard
• You cannot always identify the location of the keyboard
• Sometimes the order of content does not always make sense
• Some actions are activated on down events
• Some text overflows when the browser size is changed
• When increasing font-size some content overflows boundaries
• Some items and elements have low contrast
• Some text overflows when the buffer between text is increased
• Some non-text items have no alternative
• Some semantic mark-up such as headings and lists are used incorrectly
• Page titles do not always accurately describe the page
• Some items when read by a screen reader are confusing
We are working to resolve these issues and will have released them to the website by 01 January 2021.
