Those of you who prefer walking around nature reserves have a number of places to visit as there are 87 Essex Wildlife Trust nature reserves dotted across Essex and brimming with wildlife, to the Thames Chase Community Forest who are committed to promoting woodland creation, to the vast and stunning Epping Forest.

With an abundance of opportunities at lakes, rivers and coastal casting points there are plenty of places for anglers to indulge in the nations favourite pastime.

You can also venture out by boat from the Harwich, Walton-on-the-Naze or from Burnham-on-Crouch to Foulness Island and go seal watching while finding out why the seals in the area are of a different colour to other UK seals.
