About

The Old Farmhouse is located on the outskirts of the popular North Essex village of Finchingfield, often referred to as the prettiest village in Essex.

Drive along a private lane for 3/4 mile and your will find this impressive 16th Century farmhouse, set in 400 acres of farmland, pasture with vineyard, is new to the holiday rental market from August 2021 and is ideal for guests looking for a memorable short break or holiday in comfort. Rooms overlook the garden, fields and vineyard.

Many charming period features remain with beams, open stud walls, fireplaces housing wood burners and original flooring complemented by contemporary furnishings and all the modern fittings and appliances.

The Old Farmhouse lends itself to socialising with friends and family with a wonderful light kitchen/dining room with woodturner and Rangemaster cooker with induction hob, a charismatic snug with inglenook fireplace and drawing room with woodturner both with smart TVs. On the first floor there are three individually designed bedrooms with super king size beds on the first floor, two with en-suite shower rooms and there's a separate bathroom with large bath and shower for guests in the third bedroom, effectively giving all guests complete privacy.  There is a separate utility room with seat for pulling on and off your boots!
