The Visit Essex conference was held at the Crondon Park on 2nd November 2022. Over a 100 members attended and listened to some very engaging presentations from James Sinclair, Partyman on Getting Customers Easier, Faster and for Less Money and The National Picture from Bernard Donoghue OBE, Director, Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (ALVA).
Following Lisa Bone's update on Visit Essex, Erica Gilson talked about the new Essex Film Office who are raising the profile of Essex as a film location by creating a database of locations. Mambers were invited to register their venue as a film location. This new point of contact will be able to deal with all film enquiries, build networks, collaborate with Filming in England and troubleshoot to make Essex film friendly.
Following a fantastic networking lunch we heard about financial support available to businesses from ECC Principal Growth Officer, Kazadi Mwamba and how using an influencer, arranged by Visit Essex, has been a positive experience from Dale Symons, Clayhill Vineyard.
After a very entertaining talk from Jane Malyon on the use of TIkTok to promote her business, some helpful tips and how she went viral with @afternoonteawithjane we had time for a Q&A session to see how Visit Essex could further help members.
