Breathe in the fresh sea air as you explore the beauty of Walton-on-the-Naze from the ground and from the top of the tower. Discover the heritage of historic Harwich.

Day 1

Morning - Start your short break at The Naze, Walton. Here you can enjoy the fresh air whilst looking for fossils and sharks teeth dating back to the Ice Age, along this
wonderful stretch of coastline.  Stop for lunch and a browse at the Essex Wildlife Trust Naze Visitor Centre.

Afternoon - Standing 86ft the Naze Tower is a landmark and unique visitor attraction. It houses an art gallery, a museum plus a viewing platform offering panoramic
views over the countryside and coastline. It also has a tearoom. All the artworks and crafts by local artists are for sale.

Day 2

Morning - Head over to the Redoubt Fort Harwich, built in 1808 to defend the port against Napoleonic invasion (open May – September every day 10am – 4pm, and
every Saturday throughout the year). The Fort houses a display of large guns, military uniforms, local artefacts and displays.
Lunch - choose from The Alma pub or Samuel Pepys Wine Bar in the town.
