Rivenhall is a village located near the town of Witham and Braintree. Within the village is the  St. Mary and All Saints' Church - a grade one listed church - the Rivenhall Chruch of England School and a village store.

The main village being roughly one mile from the A12, which cuts through the other part of the parish, Rivenhall End. It is, in the main, a rural parish with an agricultural landscape of woodland and arable land with some small areas of pasture.
