White Colne is a village approximately four miles from Halstead, 12 miles from Colchester and 10 miles from Sudbury, in Suffolk. The village lies in the Colne Valley and is surrounded by the villages of Earls Colne, Cole Engaine, Wakes Colne and Chappel. The village features a village hall while the popular attraction the Colne Valley Railway is apporximately 10 miles away.

Ideally situated in the Colne Valley, many parts of the village - which has  a history stretching back to the Domesday book and beyond - allows visitors to view the variety of scenery and wildlife that characterises this part of Essex. White Colne is part of the less well known north Essex countryside and  offers both residents and visitors access to beautiful scenery, including riverside walks, open meadows and ancient woodland where a wide variety of wildlife flourishes.
