The Gibberd Garden

Out of all the things to do in Harlow, the Gibberd Garden may be one of the most versatile days out, suiting everyone from the grandparents to the kids. The Gibberd Garden was designed by Sir Frederick and Lady Pat Gibberd and was their former home for nearly 50 years. The Grade II listed building is open to the public each year from April to October, with a lively events programme including Music, Theatre and Art and Writing days throughout the season. Children will be delighted by the selection of animal sculptures, whilst more mature art lovers will marvel over the collection of 20th century art collected by the couple over the years. Once you have finished exploring the gardens and inspecting the art, take a break in the Barn Tearoom and enjoy a hot drink and sweet treat.
