A tranquil lakeside touring and camping area a short walk from the sea and Heybridge Basin.

Nestled amongst 130 acres of arable land and fishing lakes.

Chigborough Farm is a peaceful, rural oasis between Heybridge and Little Totham on the outskirts of Maldon in Essex. An excellent base for exploring the historic market town of Maldon and The Blackwater Estuary and further a field into North Essex. We are situated just a 10 minute walk from the sea wall which leads to the villages and pubs of Heybridge Basin and Goldhanger.

The Campsite - 

The campsite is situated next to Home Water our largest Fly Fishing Lake at Chigborough. It is sheltered by hedging on the East, South and West and has paddocks, open farm land and The Essex Wildlife Trust Reserve to the North. Extensive Communal Facilities Available (please see our website and Welocme Book App)

The Raft and Birdsong Camp - 

Relax in our luxury floating log cabin or secluded safari tent.

The Raft - Floating on its own private lake, this log cabin offers a peaceful and relaxing hideaway. Fully equipped so that all you need to bring is food and drink. The Raft is completely unique and has been featured on George Clarks Amazing Spaces. 

Birdsong Camp - A luxurious, private Safari tent nestled in a clearing in the trees. Everything is provided for a relaxing break including a bubbling hot tub.

Road Directions

Take the B1026 out of Maldon towards Goldhanger. Turn left into Chigborough Road which is about a mile after the turning to Heybridge Basin. Please park in the fishery car park near the Lambton and Jackson Smokehouse.
