The Beecroft Art Gallery is housed in an architecturally unique building on Victoria Avenue in Southend, displaying both local artist’s work alongside semi-permanent displays of fine art from the Beecroft collection. The collection holds over 2000 works ranging from 17th Century Dutch masterpieces to contemporary works, and is complemented by a rolling programme of dynamic exhibitions of fashion and textiles from the extensive fashion and textiles collection.
As well as the changing exhibitions of Art, Photography and Fashion, we also have a varied programme of events, learning sessions and film screenings in our lecture theatre, so keep an eye on our website for details www.southendmuseums.co.uk

The gallery is on Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, next to the Central Museum and is easily accessed by the A127. The gallery is directly next door to the Central Museum and Planetarium.

The gallery very well connected to both train lines into Southend on Sea. The nearest station is Southend Victoria, on the Liverpool Street line from London. If you are arriving at Southend Central, on the London Fenchurch Street line, the gallery is roughly a 5-10 minute walk away.
