A child and two adults riding on bicycles

About

Working with Essex Police and other local community organisations, we are pleased to be running a Community Safety and Bike Marking Event in Heybridge. The event will provide FREE security bike marking and community safety advice to members of the public.

The Maldon District Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is a multi-agency group helping to support and prevent issues within the local community.

The bike marking element of the event has been funded by Maldon District Community Safety Partnership (CSP) to help prevent bike theft in the area.

The bike marking scheme is used by police forces across the UK, with more than 970,000 bicycles currently registered.

The registering of bikes helps the police and retailers to identify and verify legitimate owners of bikes that have been stolen or are being resold.
