About

This is a fast way to shape light and dark values on your canvas. The technique is simple: once the canvas has been covered with a solid layer of dark paint, a cloth, cotton bud or brush can be used to bring back the white of the canvas. This method creates beautiful tones and shading and can be used for any subject matter. A selection of natural history objects will be provided to work from or bring your own resource material or images.

Spaces must be booked. Please call 01255 822783 or email jaywickmartellotower@essex.gov.uk for information or help with booking.
