Maldon Town Council is thrilled to announce Light Up Maldon, this year's Christmas lights switch-on event and market, taking place on Thursday 28th November from 5pm to 9pm. The lights will be switched on at 6pm.
This exciting community event promises to illuminate Maldon High Street with festive cheer, bustling with street stalls, charming indoor craft markets, and entertainment by local performers. The traditional Santa's Grotto will be a delight for children, and a variety of stalls will offer tempting local wares, unique crafts, delicious hot food, and refreshing beverages.
Light Up Maldon prioritises showcasing the best of Maldon. Town Centre shops are encouraged to expand their presence with stalls outside their premises, alongside opportunities for other Maldon District traders, community groups, and local charities. Craft stalls will fill the Town Hall and the Swan Hotel Bar & Grill's Cygnet Room, and there will be plenty of food stalls to whet the appetite.
