About

A circling Ockendon walk starting and ending at The Green. Working with Thurrock's Young Carers and Ockendon Children's Centre we will celebrate their young volunteers. Lead by giant silk scrolls from the Platinum Jubilee Pageant and the key workers that they represent, we will visit the Little Belhus country park mandala from 2020 to take a moment to reflect on all the work the young carers and those who support them do within their community.

We will take inspiration from their stories as we head to the children's centre for a celebratory event. There will be music, dancing, flag-waving and refreshments as we say thank you to those who help us to think differently about where we live.
