About

Temple at War is a two day military and vintage event which is packed full of everything to create one of the largest historic re-enactment events in the south east of England.

Since 2015 the event has gained a 'second-to-none' reputation for its portrayal of the past 150 years of Allied and Axis engagement. The show is based at the historical and incredibly atmospheric Cressing Temple Barns, Braintree Essex which provides the most evocative sense of walking back in time. Hear the stories, see the sights. Prepare for the unexpected. Prepare to get involved. The experience that is Temple at War will start from the moment that you arrive!
