See former Royal Air Force bomber Avro Vulcan XL426 up close at our Visit the Vulcan Classic Jet Day.

You can walk round Vulcan XL426 and for an additional fee you can climb inside for a guided tour of the Vulcan's cockpit.

As well as the Vulcan, there will be much to keep the whole family entertained.

Cockpit sections of several classic jets from the 1960s, '70s and '80s will be present, which will be FREE to sit in.

Squadron Leader Joe Marsden will host FREE "pilot presentations" throughout the day where he will talk about his experiences fly the Vulcan in RAF service.

The award-winning Thundersley brass band will keep everyone entertained during the day and the Southend Radio Control Flying Club will be bringing along some of its large-scale aircraft for visitors to see.

Darth Vader, R2D2 and more characters from Star Wars will be keeping everybody entertained courtesy of the UK Garrison Star Wars re-enactors.

There will be burger, hot dog and sweet and savoury pancake stands as well as a craft beer stall, so no one will go hungry or thirsty.
